At Burraneer Bay Public School, we take great pride in our sporting achievements and our commitment to supporting students in their athletic pursuits. We foster a culture of teamwork, resilience and excellence, encouraging all students to participate in sports and strive for their personal best.

In 2025, our Stage 2 and Stage 3 teams competed in the Sydney East Rugby 7s Gala Day — with both teams crowned Champions! Our Stage 3 team then went on to represent Sydney East at the State Titles, proudly finishing 6th in the state. Their dedication, skill and teamwork shone throughout the tournament, reflecting the talent, determination and sportsmanship of our young athletes.

At Burraneer Bay Public School, we value learning together as a community. Our 2025 Education Day brought families, friends, and the wider school community into classrooms to share in the excitement of student learning, with engaging activities, interactive displays, and performances that showcased student creativity and hard work.

This creativity was also on full display in our 2025 school production of Moana: The Musical, where every student from Kindergarten to Year 6 took the stage — from dancing pirates and ocean dancers to recorder players, bucket drummers, choir and soloist singers and our Year 6 and Kindergarten buddies dancing to “Agadoo”. With vibrant performances, beautiful music, and the support of our dedicated staff, it was a joyful celebration of talent, teamwork, and school spirit.

Our Coding Club has had an exciting year full of learning and creativity. Students have developed skills in programming and robotics while collaborating on fun and challenging projects. These hands-on experiences have helped build their confidence, problem-solving abilities, and love of technology.

Our Debating Team competes against schools across NSW, tackling important issues. Debating helps us think critically, make persuasive arguments, and work together as a team.

Ten talented students from Burraneer Bay Public School proudly represented our school at the Interschool Chess Challenge, competing against 15 schools. With great skill and enthusiasm, our team secured 3rd place, took home a trophy, and qualified for the semi-finals! Each student played seven intense games with 12-minute time limits, demonstrating impressive strategic thinking and focus.

Burraneer Bay Public School students take part in the NSW Public Education School Spectacular, an event that celebrates talent, diversity, and teamwork. This exciting show brings together thousands of students from across the state to perform music, dance, and drama on stage. Our students work hard to rehearse and give their best performance, showing creativity, confidence, and school pride.
